1. HIV PREVENTION THROUGH FOOTBALL GAMES
A lot of young people are very ignorant about good health practices which should protect them against HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases. Our community has a lot of young people who are out of school and therefore have no health mentorship about HIV/AIDS and other transmissible sicknesses, there limited safe sex practices because the biggest percent of the young people are falsely assumed of knowing how to use condoms and yet they have many sexual partners. This means they keep risking having unprotected sex without any knowledge about each other’s health status. As young people lives with limited knowledge about HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases, the more we will see many cases of disease overwhelming our local health centers; the more we young people use no safer sex ways, the more they will infect each other if they are not mentored on existing safe sex methods. Our club is currently educating these young people on how to stay health through 0ne-Partner-Safe-Sex campaign which we begun in June 2023 during our soccer tournaments.
